The 32nd annual Christina River Watershed Cleanup, which takes place at many sites throughout New Castle County, is open for registration! At the Fox Point State Park site, volunteers will clean up litter on the north point, both along its shorelines and inland areas.
Every day is Earth Day in Delaware State Parks, but the holiday holds special meaning at this time of year. April is also Volunteer Appreciation Month, so we thank you and all volunteers who make what we do possible. Delaware State Parks could not accomplish what we do without volunteers!
Please note: The Fox Point State Park site is restricted to volunteers ages 14 and up.
Parking: Back (northernmost) parking lot, beyond the pavilions
Check-in: Supply and refreshment tables set up near the back (northernmost) parking lot beyond the pavilions
- As the Christina River Watershed Cleanup website notes and as was the case for the first time in 2023, this year’s event at Fox Point State Park has a NEW MEETING PLACE.
- Volunteers will check in near the back (northernmost) parking lot (AND NOT at one of the pavilions at the front of the park as in 2022 and prior). Please follow CLEANUP signs to the back of the park.
Volunteers who register for the Fox Point State Park site on the Christina River Watershed Cleanup website will receive additional information from a site captain as the Cleanup approaches.
