Celebrate National Outdoors Day
by Helping Beautify a Butterfly Garden!
What is National Get Outdoors Day?
National Get Outdoors Day is an annual celebration encouraging everyone—especially youth and families—to explore and enjoy the great outdoors. It’s all about connecting people to nature, promoting healthy outdoor lifestyles, and supporting stewardship of public lands.
To mark the occasion, we’re inviting volunteers to join us for a morning of hands-on work in our beautiful butterfly garden—a haven for pollinators and a peaceful spot for visitors to enjoy.
Volunteer tasks include:
-
Weeding and clearing garden beds
-
Light pruning and general garden cleanup
Why volunteer?
By helping care for the butterfly garden, you’ll support local wildlife, enhance the beauty of the park, and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine—all while celebrating a day dedicated to outdoor fun and conservation.

Gardening gloves (if you have them)
-
Reusable water bottle
-
