Returning in 2023 for 2 days, November 4th (10-4) and 5th (11-4), Market Fair brings the colonial past to life in this annual, highly-anticipated special event! Walk the ground where 18th-century Doverites went to market, browsing among historic trade demonstrators, local and regional vendors selling their food and wares, and talented performers sweeping you back through the centuries.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- setting up tents
- laying out signs
- Moving tables and chairs
- Chairing attendance tables at entryways into the event. Volunteers will be stationed at a table in 2-hour shifts counting visitors as they come by, handing out information, and acting as a point of contact for visitors who may have questions.
Break down of the event includes:
- Bringing in signs
- Taking down tents
- Moving tables and clearing The Green
- Bringing tents and supplies back to the John Bell House and Rose Cottage.
