Help needed to maintain the new trees and shrub plantings at Nine Foot Road parking lot. The new trees and shrubs and the deer excluding fencing is being invaded by weedy wines and invasive plants. Can you spare some time to pull out and cut back the weeds so the native plants can thrive?
When: Saturday October 28 at 9am to 11am.
Who: Suitable for individuals, or teams up to ten people.
Wear: long pants and long-sleeved shirt - some of the plants are prickly! Wear closed toed shoes and layered clothing that can get dirty and is suitable for the weather.
Bring: work gloves if you have them and a personal water bottle. Other tools will be provided.
Parking: Nine Foot Road parking lot at 70 Nine Foot Road in Newark.
NOTE: Ticks are active in the park and poison ivy may be present. Please use caution and do a tick check on returning home.
