Description

We need Cross-Country runners and others who want to give back by volunteering to help maintain the cross-country course at White Clay Creek State Park.  Invasive and overgrowing vegetation needs to be cut back and rocks and sticks picked up in preparation for upcoming competitive meets at the park. Meets start September 15. Let's get ready!

When: Thursday August 31 and Thursday September 7.  Saturday work days TBA if volunteers are interested.

Who:  Suitable for individual volunteers age 14 and above and for running teams and corporate teams.

Wear: long pants, closed toed shoes and layered clothing that can get dirty and is suitable for the weather.

Bring: work gloves if you have them and a personal water bottle. Other tools will be provided.

Parking: at the Carpenter Recreation area parking lot, 880 New London Road.

NOTE: Ticks are active in the park and poison ivy may be present. Please use caution and do a tick check on returning home.
