Disc Golf Course Maintenance

Description

We need Disc Golfers and others who want to give back by volunteering to help maintain the disc golf course at White Clay Creek State Park.  Invasive and overgrowing vegetation needs to be cut back in preparation for new baskets which are on hand and ready to be installed. Work days surrounding basket installation will also be planned.

When: Thursday September 14 and Thursday September 28. Saturday work days TBA as needed if volunteers are interested.

Who: Suitable for adult volunteers, disc golf clubs and for corporate teams.

Wear: long pants, closed toed shoes and layered clothing that can get dirty and is suitable for the weather.

Bring: work gloves if you have them and a personal water bottle. Other tools will be provided.

Parking: at the Carpenter Recreation area parking lot, 880 New London Road.

NOTE: Ticks are active in the park and poison ivy may be present. Please use caution and do a tick check on returning home.
