Hunter Volunteers are welcome at White Clay Creek State Park! Do you hunt at the park and want to give back through volunteer service? There are hunting-related volunteer tasks that make a real difference in the park. Regular work crews to build hunting stands, stand replacement, Adopt-A-Stand activities to remove invasive vegetation, and clean ups are some of the volunteer tasks available.
When: Hunter volunteers generally meet on Wednesdays at 4:30. Some task are done on your own schedule while others occur on specific dates.
Who: Any individuals or small groups who hunt at the park and wish to volunteer.
Wear: long pants, closed toed shoes and layered clothing that can get dirty and is suitable for the weather.
Bring: work gloves if you have them and a personal water bottle. Other tools will be provided.
Parking: At the Maintenance shop area at 445 Wedgewood Road for Wednesday work days. Other times, TBA
NOTE: Ticks are active in the park and poison ivy may be present. Please use caution and do a tick check on returning home.
