Thank you for your interest in VolunTEEN Programs with Delaware State Parks! VolunTEEN is a volunteer program for young adults between the ages of 13 and 18. VolunTEEN will work in groups of 5, with a minimum of one staff member. Over the summer, VolunTEEN will team up with our Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) to tackle a variety of park projects ranging from invasive plant removal and litter pick up, to painting and cleaning.
Today's project: Join other teens as we remove Multiflora Rose and other non-native plant species to promote native plants and restore the health of the forest floor along the Life Course Trail! Invasive plant workdays typically involve identifying and removing non-native plants using clippers, pruners, or other small hand tools; tools and gloves are available to share.
Meeting Location: Sports Complex Parking Lot
Upon entering the park, drive past the fee booth and take the first right. Follow that road all the way to the parking lot.
