Observed each year in April, Earth Day is a global call to environmental stewardship and care for the natural systems that support our communities. This year, Earth Day service projects carry forward the work begun on MLK Day of Service, continuing Delaware State Parks’ 75th Anniversary Service Days celebration. Where MLK Day focused on laying the foundation through behind-the-scenes stewardship, Earth Day builds on that foundation through restoration, growth, and environmental care.

Volunteers across the state will come together to support projects that strengthen park ecosystems, restore natural areas, and prepare our parks to serve the public now and into the future. The work completed on Earth Day reflects our shared responsibility to care for the land and ensures that the foundation laid earlier this year continues to grow.

By participating, you are helping advance a year-long commitment to stewardship in celebration of 75 years of Delaware State Parks. Volunteers are welcome to join one service day or take part throughout the year as this story of service unfolds.
