Trail Trimming and Litter Pickup


Celebrate Delaware State Park's 75th anniversary by kicking it back with some good old-fashioned trail trimming and litter pickup at Lums Pond State Park! With more than 16 miles for walking, biking, hiking, horseback riding, and more, these beloved pathways need your help. Your efforts help keep the park clean and accessible while preserving wildlife habitats where native plants and animals can thrive.


When: June 6th, 9am - 12pm

What: Trail Trimming, and litter pickup

Where: Lums Pond State Park Campground - 3355 Red Lion Rd, Bear, DE 19701


Volunteers will meet up at the Lums Pond Campground off of Red Lion Rd. Parking will be in the overflow lot to the right of the entrance booth. Parking and park entrance is free for volunteers! Make sure you get your parking pass from the on-site volunteer manager. 


Please note: Please bring:
Closed toed shoes required Filled Water bottle
Clothes you can get dirty in recommended Sunscreen & Bug spray
Equipment provided on-site, volunteers are allowed to bring their own hand tools if preferred Work or Garden gloves (available on-site if needed)
