Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.
Join us at White Clay Creek State Park Monday January 19th at 10am - 12pm to remove invasive plants and help restore habitat at the Judge Morris Estate.
Work will range from hand-pulling of small plants to removal of large shrubs, to cutting and piling plant debris. This is a great opportunity to learn more about invasive plants and the ecology of the park. This volunteer effort has won awards from the State of Delaware for dedication to the park and has received numerous grants to support the ongoing efforts.
