The Great Un-Lichen-ing!

Description

Thank you for choosing Delaware State Parks for your Volunteer Adventure!

One of the bridges near historical Bethesda Church has a lot of lichens/moss growing on the railings & floorboards. The cracks in between the floorboards are filled with moss/debris which leads to standing water on the bridge which could be a hazard. Volunteers will be using paint scrapers to remove the lichen and moss. When you volunteer for this opportunity, you'll be helping to make sure it stays safe and accessible for all!

- We will be meeting at the Bethesda Church parking lot on Wooten Rd., 1pm-4pm

- Gloves and paint scrapers will be provided.

- Dress for the weather

- Bring drinking water

- Bug spray & sunscreen

Thank you and we hope to see you there!
