Description

As we head into the dormant season, our Pollinator Garden at Brandywine Creek State Park can use a refresh! While we'll be leaving the leaves and seeds for birds and overwintering pollinators, some of our more aggressive plants need thinned out, and invasive plants need removed! We hope you'll join us for our Fall Pollinator Garden Refresh Day on Sunday, November 23rd, at 1:00pm-3:00pm, led by the Manager of Volunteers and Naturalists at Brandywine Creek State Park.

At our pollinator garden refresh day, volunteers can expect to:

  • Dig up aggressive plant species that are crowding out other plants
  • Clear walking trails of plants that have taken root through the years
  • Remove invasive species to stop their spread
  • Learn about our pollinator garden, and what you can do to provide overwinter habitat to pollinators in your own backyard!

Gloves, tools, and experience are welcome, but are not required. We will provide all needed tools and direction to volunteers.

Interested volunteers can sign up by responding to this opportunity, and the Manager of Volunteers will be in touch with more information.
