Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Killens Pond State Park!
Parkeon Assistants will play a vital role in guiding visitors through the Parkeon machine process at the park entrance fee booth and directing them to appropriate parking areas, ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow during busy weekends and events. This volunteer role is most needed during the times the park host school cross-country meets and other large events. A very brief training will be given ahead of your scheduled shift on the Parkeon process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist visitors with the Parkeon machine process; handle the visitors form of payment
- Provide clear and courteous guidance to visitors on parking areas
- Wave on visitors with visible State Park Entrance Pass stickers on their vehicles
Requirements
- Volunteer in this role will need to have patience
- good communication skills
- Be ok with being on their feet for up to 3 hours
- a smile :)
- complete a background check (paid for by us) and sign an expectations/service agreement
