2025 Trap Pond Tree Plantings!

Expired

Description

To celebrate our 75th Anniversary in 2026, we’re setting a goal to plant 75,000 trees!

Together we’ll reforest acres of land to support wildlife habitats, enhance biodiversity, and improve air and water quality. We're nearing 25,000 trees already!

Get involved this Spring at Trap Pond State Park and make a lasting impact.

On March 11th, 2025 (rain date of March 14th) we need your help to get 800 saplings in the ground! This planting will not only help reforest an area of land, but also serve as a wind breaker to help preserve one of Trap Pond’s cemeteries dating back to the 1860’s.

·       Volunteers will be using dibble bars to place saplings and attaching a support tube to each

On April 1st and 4th  2025 we will be planting 180+/- trees in the main park (campground, Jason Beach, and picnic area)

·       Volunteers will be using shovels to dig hole for tree, adding protective fencing, and mulch around each

*Exact meeting areas for volunteers will be emailed out closer to date to registered volunteers*

Please sign up for all dates that you would like to participate.
