Bellevue State Park welcomes volunteers interested in being a Campfire Site Attendant for Fall Wagon Rides offered to guests!
Bellevue State Park is one of multiple Delaware State Parks sites that offer wagon rides every autumn. Bellevue offers public and private wagon rides, each followed by a campfire, for groups of up to 20 people.
Shifts are available on select weekends.
Volunteers may help with:
- Guidance of arriving and departing guests
- Showing guests where to go
- Giving guests a courteous signal when it’s time for them to begin cleaning up the campfire site
- Monitoring of the campfire area
- Observing guests and reporting unsafe practices to staff
- Tending to a campfire
Notes:
- Park staff will brief volunteers on procedures after volunteers arrive for a shift.
- Experience with campfires preferred for any attendant who would start and/or tend to campfires.
Physical, skill requirements: continuous standing, regular walking, basic customer service, starting and/or tending to campfires

Parking:
- Volunteers may park in the main parking lot near the Arts Center.
- A Volunteer Activity Parking Pass will be provided to any volunteer who does not already have a Delaware State Parks pass.
