Observed each year in June, National Trails Day celebrates the trails that connect people to the outdoors and the communities that care for them. This year, Trails Day service projects continue Delaware State Parks’ 75th Anniversary Service Days, building on the foundation laid during MLK Day of Service and the growth supported through Earth Week.

As the third chapter in this year-long series, June’s service day focuses on honoring the legacy of stewardship that has shaped Delaware State Parks over the past 75 years. Volunteers across the state will come together to support trail-focused projects that preserve access, enhance safety, and improve the visitor experience. Trails are one of the most visible and widely used features of our parks, and the work completed on Trails Day reflects the lasting impact of service across generations.

By participating, you are helping continue a legacy of care and commitment that has defined Delaware State Parks since its beginning. Whether you are joining for the first time or continuing your service from earlier this year, your efforts contribute to a shared story of stewardship.
