Volunteer Leads assist Staff in providing on-site guidance for volunteer projects. Volunteer Leads may also progress to leading groups of volunteers through projects from start to finish when staff is not available.
Primary Duties/Skills may include:
- Welcome volunteers.
- Give project orientation.
- Ensure volunteers sign a log-in sheet.
- Share knowledge of park safety procedures.
- Communicate instructions and guidelines effectively.
- Participate in the day's project.
- Reports observations and suggestions.
Time Commitment: This position has a flexible schedule. The Manager of Volunteers will reach out as assistance is needed. Some volunteer projects are scheduled specifically to meet a group's schedule, and other projects are held on a routine basis month to month.
Location: The exact location and meeting spot will vary from project to project.
