Do you enjoy picnics? Have a love of history and want to get a glimpse of historic Dover during the late-1800s?
Volunteer with First State Heritage Park as the Dover Green is transformed into the bygone era of the late 19th century!
Tasks will include:
- Assisting with setting up and breaking down of the event site
- Victorian Era costumed interpretation (please ensure you have your own proper 19th-Century clothing)
- Assisting with Victorian lawn games and crafts
Volunteers have the option to purchase a ticket along with event participants or bring a packed lunch. Each ticket is $25 and includes your meal ticket, which offers four different meal combinations, including a vegetarian option. Event coordinators will reach out to you to select your preferences. Bring your own beverage, or purchase one!
Volunteers are asked to arrive at 9:30 AM to help set-up the site and receive event details from the Program Manager.
The event begins at 11:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm.
