The 33nd annual Christina River Watershed Cleanup, which takes place at many sites throughout New Castle County, is open for registration! At the Brandywine Park site  volunteers will pick up litter along the Brandywine throughout the park.

This site is made possible by the Brandywine River Restoration Trust, "a cross-section of educational organizations, non-profits, governmental agencies, and private citizens whose shared goal is to restore the region’s most historic fish, the American Shad, to the Brandywine River by returning the river to its free-flowing state."

Every day is Earth Day in Delaware State Parks, but the holiday holds special meaning at this time of year. April is also Volunteer Appreciation Month, so we thank you and all volunteers who make what we do possible. Delaware State Parks could not accomplish what we do without volunteers!

Parking: Free in the Brandywine Park lot at 900 N. Park Dr.; overflow parking available at 1116 N. Park Dr.

Check-in: Supply and refreshment tables set up at the Josephine Fountain (pictured)

Volunteers who register for the Brandywine Park site on the Christina River Watershed Cleanup website will receive additional information from a site captain as the cleanup approaches.

If you have any questions, please contact the park's designated volunteer contact listed on its Program page.
