Upset by vines harming trees in our beautiful park? Come learn how to identify harmful vines and what to do about them. Not all vines are bad! Some vines are native plants with excellent wildlife value. Others are non-native invasive plants that harm natural areas and need to be managed.
Join staff from the Environmental Stewardship program who will teach you how to distinguish between native vines and non-native invasive species, and how to properly manage the invasive vines.
This invasive vine training will occur on Monday April 24 from 11:00 am until approximately 12:30 pm. We will meet at the Nine Foot Rd parking lot.
Additional trainings may be scheduled. After training, regularly occurring vine removal volunteer work days may be scheduled and you are welcome to participate in them.
