White Clay Creek is in need of volunteers to support our annual Creek Fest on May 2nd!
Creek Fest is our yearly celebration dedicated to honoring and safeguarding the White Clay Creek National Wild & Scenic River. Volunteers are needed to assist setting up our exhibits and activities. These needs include carrying and setting up tables and chairs, preparing games and activities, assisting vendors, and helping with tear down once the event has concluded.
Four shifts are available for signup. Please choose which shift(s) you plan to attend by selecting them at the bottom of this page.
Friday May 1st
- Event Prep: 12pm - 4pm
Saturday May 2nd
- Event Set up (Slot 1): 9:30am - 11am
- Event Set up (Slot 2): 10:30am - 12pm
- Event Tear Down: 4pm - 5:30pm
Location: Carpenter Recreation Area, 880 New London Road, Newark, Delaware 19711
Parking: Entry fee will be waived for volunteers assisting with the event. Once signed up, your name will be added to a list and you will receive a temporary volunteer parking pass to place on the dashboard of your vehicle.
Note that some tasks will require heavy lifting and carrying objects (sometimes up and downhill). Wear clothing and shoes you are comfortable in and bring a personal water bottle.
