Brandywine Creek State Park becomes extra magical around Halloween, and we need your help to bring the magic to life! Join staff for enchanted meadows, as our meadow trail is transformed into a storybook wonderland for guests picking up treats.
We're looking for 22 total volunteers. 4 volunteers are needed to assist with guest check-in and candy running, while 18 volunteers will dress up as beloved childhood storybook characters. Characters will stand in front of large painted backdrops and hand out candy to our visitors. The park has costumes available for each scene, but volunteers are welcome to bring and wear their own if they fit a scene!
Enchanted meadows will occur on Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. Volunteers should plan to be on site from 4:30pm-8:30pm each night. Volunteers can also RSVP for one night or both nights! Please select the shift you intend to work, and the Manager of Volunteers will follow up with more information. When you respond, please also indicate if you have a preference between check-in/candy runner or storybook character. Shift types are first come, first served, and subject to park needs.
This opportunity is open to all ages, and is a great fit for high school students seeking volunteer hours! Pizza and water will be provided for all volunteers.
