Are you looking to get your hands dirty this earth day? Join us at Brandywine Creek State Park as we clean up Wilson's Run and beautify it for our upcoming Special Needs Fishing Derby!
During the winter and early spring, branches and other debris can build up along Wilson's Run, and we need your help clearing it out! Volunteers can also expect to aid with trimming back plants. Experience, tools (loppers and pruners), and gloves are welcome, but not required. If you’re interested, we’d love to have you out with us!
At our Wilson's Run Cleanup, you can expect to:
- Learn some of the basics of stream maintenance and healthy upkeep
- Be a little more connected to your favorite park
- Give back while enjoying the outdoors
Meeting place: Brandywine Creek State Park Entrance
Parking: Parking is available near the entrance to Brandywine Creek State Park and also in the Hawk Watch lot
- Follow directions to 41 Adams Dam Road, Wilmington, DE 19807
Any questions or concerns can be directed to the Manager of Volunteers at luvina.cooley@delaware.gov.
