Join Brandywine Creek State Park as we work to cut back invasive vines in our Fresh Water Marsh Nature Preserve!
The fencing along our Fresh Water Marsh Nature Preserve has become overrun with invasive vines and fallen trees, causing significant damage. Moreso, invasive species outcompete native species for resources and displace native plants, resulting in damage to the local ecosystem if left alone.
Experience, tools (loppers and pruners), and gloves are welcome, but not required. If you’re interested, we’d love to have you out with us!
As an invasive vine control volunteer, you can expect to:
- Learn some of the basics of invasive vine removal
- Be a little more connected to your favorite park
- Give back while enjoying the outdoors
Meeting place: Brandywine Creek State Park Maintenance Shed Complex
Parking:
- Parking is available at the Brandywine Creek State Park Maintenance Shed
